Regent Estate Law
Comprehensive Estate Planning and Probate Services

Our Approach

Regent Estate Law is a small estate planning law firm in the Regent Neighborhood of Madison, Wisconsin.

We seek to make estate planning a satisfying process, not just a means of asset distribution.  We encourage clients to think broadly about their concerns and goals for the future, and to explore opportunities for forgiveness and reconciliation in the estate planning process.  We try in every instance to be respectful of each individual's emotions and traditions.  LGBT clients are welcome.

The staff of Regent Estate Law consists of one attorney, Peter S. Moreno, and multiple paralegals who are employed on a contract basis.

Attorney Profile

Peter S. Moreno graduated with honors from the University of Washington School of Law.  He was an editor of the Washington Law Review, was selected best oral advocate in 2006 by the UW Moot Court Honor Board, and won the Vivian Carkeek Prize for his legal writing.  Prior to founding Regent Estate Law, Peter worked for Phinney Estate Law and Associated Counsel for the Accused, both in Seattle, Washington.  He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin.

Peter earned a master's degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and undergraduate degrees in Economics and English from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.  He is happy to be back in Madison with his wife Megan and two children.  Peter has spent most of his professional life working for nonprofit organizations and continues to do pro-bono legal work that benefits our environment and preserves our constitutional rights.
